Sewer Cleanout Access in Las Vegas

The cleanout is a capped pipe, usually in the front or side yard between the house and the street, and knowing where yours is turns a bad night into a short visit. Clear it of planting and gravel now rather than during a backup.

Sewer Cleanout Access in Las Vegas in a Las Vegas home

Where it is in a valley home

Typically a white or black capped pipe standing slightly proud of the ground on the sewer side of the house, often near the front wall or along the path the line takes to the street. Some valley properties have two.

What usually goes wrong

  • Roots find the joints, especially where older lines run under mature landscaping.
  • Grease and wipes build at a low point until one flush backs the whole line up.
  • The cap gets buried under gravel or a planter during landscaping, so nobody can find it when it matters.

What to check first

  1. 1

Locate the cleanout while nothing is wrong, and keep it clear and accessible.

  2. 2

Treat gurgling at a distant drain when a toilet flushes as an early warning about the main, not a local clog.

  3. 3

Stop using water once more than one fixture backs up, because the line is already full.

When to call24/7

Call us when waste is backing up into the house, more than one fixture is affected, or the line needs a camera to see what is really there.

That is usually Sewer Lines, and it is what we would send someone out for.
